Emmy

Emmy is a beautiful 2 yr old TORTIE POINT HIMALAYAN, who weighs 9.5 pounds. She’s not overweight, just structually bigger. She is up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, tested fiv/felv negative, spayed, and has her claws. She is 100% with the litterbox and is great with scratch pads/posts. She loves hard food, her treats, and occasionally freeze dried chicken.

Emmy came to us pregnant. She was an excellent mom, but her kids are now independent, and she’s done with mommy duties. She’s ready to live her best life, which she so much deserves.

Emmy came to us angry! Someone had treated her oh so badly!  We could lightly pet her head, but that’s it! She expected something bad to happen to her at any minute! She was so disappointed in people, she didn’t even want to share her kittens with us at first. With patience, love, and just sitting by her, and showing her that all people aren’t mean, she turned into such a nice kitty. She still is wary of strangers, but she is fostermom’s little friend. She likes pettings and is more comfortable with women vs men, but is coming around. With the fostermom, she can pet her as many times as she wants. She’ll arch her back, lift her tail, and slide back and forth against her leg, begging for pets. She can be picked up, but isn’t a big fan yet. She also isn’t a lap sitter, because frankly she just gets too hot, so she’ll lay close by your side.

She didn’t know what toys were, so now she’s learning how to have fun. She loves looking out the window and seeing the wildlife and birds, while laying in her cat tree. She also likes wand toys, catnip toys, fuzzy mice, kicker toys, and following you from room to room to see what you’re up to. She likes pettings and play time, but she also likes her alone time.

She’s a pretty quiet girl, with a soft little meow and purr, who just wants to enjoy having a person to herself, and being the queen of her domain. The best home for Emmy would be quiet, with no other pets or small children. She’ll need time to get used to her new surroundings and see that you are one of the good guys who won’t hurt her. She really is a good girl, who deserves the very best forever home. ADOPTION FEE $375. FOSTERED IN CAMPBELLSPORT, WI
