Po

PO is a handsome WHITE PERSIAN who wears permanent GuyLiner around his gorgeous Green Eyes!!  He is 4 years old and weighs 8.6 lbs.  He is front-paw declawed, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, is neutered, and he is microchipped.

Po is the best of everything you could want in a cat!  He seeks attention and likes to rub against his humans. He loves to be caressed on his head, cheeks, and chin.  He flops over beside you and makes biscuits in your lap or against your leg.  He is great about having his eyes cleaned which is super easy as he only has dry debris every couple of days.  His front paws were declawed at some point so you need only trim his back claws as needed.  His fur was thinned and mats removed before he arrived so he enjoys napping in felt caves to keep warm.  Over time, an adopter will need to maintain his coats as the fur grows or get him professionally groomed several times a year.

Po loves having a human play with him using DaBird.  When a human isn’t available, he is also happy to play with the guinea feather attachment without the wand.  He is attracted to catnip and likes to bat around Yeowww toys.  Po is graceful at jumping and he likes to climb a little, but not a lot.  Po is quiet when content and he will chirp back when you call his name.  He meows a bit when he is wandering about the house looking for a human.

Po was surrendered by his owner whose home was not well suited to his needs.  He is a confident kitty yet does not want to live in a chaotic home.  After he received a clean bill of health and a week to acclimate, he met the resident Himalayan and both are passively sharing the main levels of the house.

Po’s biggest challenge is that he does not appear to drink water.  Neither the fountain nor the bowl of water diminish noticeably.  Together, we have solved his challenge by providing him with canned Wellness food and with broth from boiling chicken (zero seasoning).  He has enjoyed Hydracare a few times, but generally snubs it in favor of broth.  He arrived with a bag of prescription dry food Hills C/D for urinary tract which he continues to eat, but there is nothing in his veterinary evaluation to suggest it will be required if he is placed in a home where he feels relaxed.

Po is seeking his happily ever after where the home has adult(s), no children under age 12, no dogs, and a calm feline would be fine.  He would like this to not change over time (no future children and no future dogs).
