Angelie

ANGELIE is a FLAME POINT BALINESE with blue eyes in a sweet little face. She is 7 years old, spayed, has all her claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and microchipped. She weighs a little over 7 lbs.

Angelie came back into foster care when the previous owner’s children developed allergies. She was surrendered with another female Siamese (recently adopted) who she got along with fine.

We were told that Angelie has always been on the shy and timid side, which is what her foster mom has noticed as well. The previous owner stated that Angelie used to come up to them and would sit on laps when they watched TV, but once they adopted a dog and had children, Angelie retreated into a more safe space. Sadly that translates to the fact that she basically didn’t have a lot of actual human interaction for four years and she is relearning that humans are safe and nice to be around.

She is a sweet little cat that appreciates a loving head and chin rub and sometimes will roll over for a gentle belly rub. Her comfort zone is being up on a cat tree or nestled in a cube cat condo where her foster mom can reach out to her to administer some loving and reassurance. She never tries to nip, instead she will sometimes hide her little face in her kitty bed as if she is afraid to be seen.

Her foster mom feels that this little cat will once again become a loving companion, though it will take time and patience. There is never any guarantee how long it will take, but it is always one of the most heartwarming and gratifying experiences when a kitty learns to trust their guardian(s) in time. She seems to be a low key kitty, not really a play monster, making her ideal for someone who loves to be home with a pretty, soft, quiet, and non-intrusive feline companion.

Her ideal home is with an understanding, compassionate adopter who doesn’t have any specific expectations about their cats. A home without a dog or children is a must; a mild mannered, easy going cat should be fine with proper introductions.

Angelie needed to have all of her teeth removed, which our organization took care of. The good news is that going forward she will never need another dental. She eats both wet and dry food (her kibble will need to be very small) and is using her litter box perfectly. This sweet little girl is hoping to find a nice calm home where going forward she doesn’t have to hide away, but instead can blossom on her own terms.
