Professor Snow

PROFESSOR SNOW (aka Snowy) is a SNOWSHOE SIAMESE with blue eyes. He is 5 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. This precious boy weighs a little over 14 lbs.

Snowy came to us after his owner passed away. His foster parents are very fond of this sweet, big, endearing and initially a bit shy boy with his slightly crossed blue eyes, pink nose and soft coat. When he first came into foster care with another male Siamese (who was adopted), he wasn’t quite as confident as some cats his foster parents have fostered and he has a tendency to become spooked by noises and quick movements. However, once he trusts his person(s), he evolves into a very loving and affectionate cat. He comes as soon as he hears his foster parents, enjoys being petted and brushed, and loves head scratches and body rubs.

As far as cat compatibility is concerned, Snowy lived with three other male Siamese cats in his previous home, apparently without any issues. He has met his foster parent’s own cats and does well with two of them, however, Snowy and their 8 year old male DSH do not always get along. He should be okay with another cat of similar size, confidence, age, and breed with proper introductions, but he would also do well as a single kitty where he can get undivided love and attention from his human(s).

Snowy occasionally will have some conversations with his foster parents, he sometimes bats some toys around on his own, and he enjoys it when someone swishes Da Bird or the mink wand toy around for him to catch. He makes a sweet snuggle buddy when his foster parents lie down for a nap, and when his foster mom watches some TV, he will often hang out on her lap. He would like to be allowed to sleep in bed with his future family. His foster parents think he is an absolute treasure of a cat.

Although his foster parents don’t have dogs, he might be okay with a cat friendly dog. He should be fine with older children as long as they aren’t too loud as that would scare him into hiding. He does seem to be quite interested in going outside, which we never encourage. Therefore a big window where he can see the outside and watch some birds would be ideal for him, and everyone needs to be mindful to not accidentally leave a door open which would cause him to escape.

Snowy needed extensive dental work, which our organization took care of, so in the future his dental care should be minimal. He is otherwise a healthy boy who uses his litter box perfectly.

Snowy eats both wet and dry food, but due to his lack of teeth the dry kibble needs to be very small.
