Stevie
STEVIE is an adorable ORANGE AND WHITE PERSIAN with big copper eyes and long whiskers. He is 1.5 years old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. He weighs 7.7 lbs.
Stevie’s was surrendered to SPCR after his owner was unable to properly care for him any longer. Our organization got him neutered and he also received nares surgery so he can breathe more easily. He needed a little bit of time in foster care to get him healthy, which he now is, and he is ready for his permanent home.
Stevie has a typical Persian personality. He is sweet, loving, trusting, easy going, and very well behaved. As soon as his foster mom enters the room, he starts coming up to her purring and wanting some attention. He enjoys being around people, and can also spend time hanging out by himself. He loves it when his foster mom interacts with him by swishing the mink wand toy or the bird toy around for him, and he loves batting around crinkle balls.
When it comes to other cats, he has lived with another cat in his previous home, but apparently they were separated in cages. He should be okay with a similar breed, of course with slow and proper introductions. He would also be just fine as a single kitty where he can soak up some undivided love and attention from his human(s).
His foster parents don’t have dogs, but could envision that a dog who loves his cat buddies could actually work well for him. We haven’t tested him with children, but given how comfortable he is around his foster parents, we think that cat savvy children will be fine for him.
His coat doesn’t seem to be too prone to matting, but a daily brushing (which he enjoys) is recommended. Stevie enjoys both wet and dry food, and has excellent litter box habits.
