Tess and Tilly

Meet sisters TESS and TILLY. Sweetest. Girls. Ever. And we mean ever. The girls are a pair of bonded tiny identical BROWN PATCHED TABBY PERSIANS, just two years old. They are spayed and have their claws. These 6-pound sweethearts were surrendered by a family who could no longer care for them. It’s sad, but their loss is your good fortune because a pair of Persians this special doesn’t come along often.

These baby beauties are classic patched tabbies with the silkiest golden coats we’ve ever seen. Still, they will need regular combing at home or be taken to a groomer periodically to prevent matting. Currently, the girls are sporting shaved tummies from recent spays, but their coats are in tip-top shape. Their eyes benefit from occasional cleaning but are not as weepy as those of more extreme-faced kits.

To be honest, we’ve had a hard time telling the two apart. But over time, we’ve learned their differences, and you will, too. Besides looking nearly identical, each of these girls has the same sweet, gentle temperament. They are great with being picked up and held, and often jump on their foster dad’s lap for extra attention. A bit shy in the beginning, it only took a few days of foster care for them to warm up, and they now eagerly meet their foster parents at the door to stop, drop and roll for belly rubs.

The girls eat a mix of canned food for breakfast, supplemented with a variety of kibble throughout the day – they are asking to go to a home where they can continue to get canned food. We think the girls may have lived with another cat in their previous home, and they like to visit resident cats under the door for a quick game of pawty-cake. So, we think with proper introductions, they’d do just fine with another fur sibling or two. A gentle dog would likely be okay; and older, respectful kids would be great.
