Sofie

SOFIE is a 5 lb., 12+ year old, spayed BLUE POINT HIMALAYAN  with all of her claws. She has the sweetest personality, has a soft fluffy coat and beautiful blue eyes. She has been fully vetted and is ready to go to her forever home.  Sofie is an older cat.  We aren’t sure of her age but know she is an older kitty.  She has kidney disease and will need the diet and care that goes with this disease.

Sofie is in her golden years, and this is a hospice case.  She does have kidney disease so she is on a special Kidney diet (Royal Canin wet kidney food).  She may need additional care based on veterinary recommendations on her kidney levels.

Sofie came to SPCR due to her owner passing away.  Sofie is a sweet, affectionate girl. She has one crumpled ear likely due to past ear infections (her ears are healthy now), big eyes and opinionated meow.  She is a tiny lady that loves to talk, lay in laps and purr.  This sweet cat loves to follow people around and just be with them. Sofie is a mellow kitty, loves to nap in sunny spaces and even better, a lap.  She loves being combed and pet when she lounges in a lap.  She purrs and purrs.  She loves catnip, fresh or dried.  Laps are really her favorite place.

Sofie needs a special home that understands cats with Kidney disease.  She is on a prescription diet and will need vet visits to check on her blood work and possibly other care as the disease advances.  She does ok with a calm, respectful cat with a proper, slow introduction. Sofie is fine with respectful dogs, but she is a senior citizen so a quiet, calm dog would be best.    She would thrive in a quiet environment.  She would do best with either no or older, respectful children.   Sofie just wants to be loved and enjoy the last part of her life.
