Nibbler

NIBBLER is a BROWN AND BLACK TABBY DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR who also happens to be a polydactyl (he has thumbs!). He’s almost 4 months old, up-to-date on his vaccinations, neutered, has all his claws and he came to SPCR with his litter mates from a shelter.

How can we describe Nibbler….active, mischievous, little-bit-o-trouble (but in a laugh-o-minute-way), playful, and a guy that you just might come up with all sorts of nicknames for! Nibbler is the kitten that finds toys that have been lost in the kitten foster room for a while and we don’t know where they were, but he finds them. He’s the guy that plays in the litter box while you’re trying to clean it (and hits the scoop while you’re trying to scoop!) but also the guy that sits still like a good boy when you’re trimming his nails. He’s the guy that runs out of the room when you tell him not to but he’s also the guy that will head butt you to thank you when you’ve filled his water dish. Nibbler is just full of personality in so many ways.

He’s great with other cats and would likely do well with respectful kids and dogs, with proper introductions. Nibbler is a bit wobbly with his back legs when walking slow as if his motor skills did not fully develop, very similar to a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) also known as wobbly cat syndrome. It only seems to affect him when walking slowly as we haven’t noticed it when running, jumping or climbing. Nibbler climbs the cat tree, tears through the house, wrestles with his foster siblings and jumps the baby gate just as well as his siblings. He doesn’t have any special needs, diet or litter box issues as a result.  Nibbler has brought a lot of laughter and love to his foster family and has a special place in their heart and they’d love to see him join your family.
