MARIE is a FLAME POINT HIMALAYAN from Egypt that is almost 4 months old. She is 2.8 lbs  She was recently spayed and has all her vaccines,  feluk/ fiv negative, microchipped and dewormed.

Marie came to SPCR from Egypt because of the huge homeless population problem of purebred cats, and the lack of quality homes in the country for indoor pets.

Marie is a wonderful kitten.  She loves people.  Likes to be held. Loves to play!  Loves to play in her cat tunnels and in the cat trees.  She is great with other cats and should have a home with another cat that will accept and play with her.  She came with her red Persian sister who is also looking for a home.

Marie does have some bone in her skull that has made her skull not be flat at this time.  It is in the very front.  A nice person at her vets office affectionately called her a little unicorn.   It is more visible on some pictures than others.  It is not causing her any discomfort and has not gotten bigger since coming into foster care.  It has been x-rayed and is solid bone. But should be monitored in the future.

Marie is very outgoing. She runs to the door to greet you when you come home. Even likes to greet visitors when people come over.  She is looking for a home where someone is home frequently or works from home.  No dogs please.  Respectful children over 7 should be ok.  She needs a home with lots of love, toys and a tall cat tree.  She currently eats canned food 3x a day plus free feeds dry.

Marie’s adoption will take place at the Gurnee PetSmart
