Mabel

MABEL is a 3 year old BLUE BI-COLOR RAGDOLL.  She is spayed, has her claws, current on vaccinations, FIV/FeLV negative and is microchipped.

Mabel was originally purchased from a breeder and was very loved by her family, however, their busy lifestyle and a household full of other cats, dogs and toddlers was not the best environment for Mabel so they surrendered her to SPCR knowing that we would find a quiet home for Mabel to thrive in.

Look at those eyes!! Mabel has the most beautiful blue eyes. Her coat is cottony soft, and she absolutely loves to be brushed (which is a good thing because she has a lot of fur!). Her next favorite activities is being petted, she loves attention from her foster family and purrs instantly when they even start to talk to her.  She also likes to watch out the window at the birds and people going by.

Mabel is a shy girl at first, and her new family will have to understand that it will take Mabel a little while to become comfortable in her new home. But when she does, she turns into a love-bug and rolls all around looking for belly rubs and pets.  She will most likely hide when she first meets her new family, so they will have to understand that she is just a sensitive girl and new people and change are hard on her.

In foster care it was found that Mabel had a urinary stone and infection, so she had surgery to remove the stone and is feeling SO much better. She is all healed and ready for her forever home!  Because of this, she will need to stay on CD food though to prevent urinary stones in the future (which is why she is listed as special needs), but the good thing is that she absolutely loves the food!

Mabel’s perfect home would be one that is calm and not a lot of activity and change.  No kids or dogs.  Her ideal home would have no other pets, however she may do fine with another cat who would not get in her face. This will take a very slow introduction. Mabel would be a great cat for someone who works from home or is retired.  While in foster care she has been perfect with her litter box, and uses a scratching post appropriately.
