Koda

This beautiful little, green eyed girl is KODA.  She is a BLACK DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR BOBTAIL.  She is spayed, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, microchipped and has her claws.

When she first arrived at her foster home she promptly came out of the carrier looking like a round ball of dark fur with her little bobtail moving back and forth so when she walked around she looked very much like a little bear cub (-:  Her foster mom found that the word  Koda means Little Bear so that name stuck.  Her coat although looks black actually does have chocolate undertones and she has faint stripes on her legs and body that you can see in certain light and just a few white hairs on her chest.

This little girl is so sweet and gentle. But also has a confidence about her, as she was one of the first kitties to want to explore outside her foster room and greet some of her foster homes own cats.   She is equally happy, sometimes even more so, to just sit in a sunny spot or in one of the windows in her foster room or in her foster moms lap taking in everything that is happening around her.   She loves to be pet and cuddled and be carried around in your arms.  She will sometimes sleep near her foster mom at night, but she often goes to the foot of the bed to spend the night.

Of course, like her roommates, she likes to eat and nap and play. She will play with just about any toy and wrestle with one of her roommates or her sister Violet, but her overall demeanor tends to be just a little more quiet and calm.

Koda would love it if she could be adopted along with her sister Violet or one of the kitties she is currently rooming with!  But if not, she will need to go to a home that has another young kitty or young at heart kitty already in the home.  She has meant some of her foster homes own cats and so we know she should be fine with older, gentle cats that would not bully her. As far as we know she has never been around a dog before. But she may be fine with a calm, gentle dog that has lived with little kittens before, once introduced slowly and properly to one another.  She should be ok with older, quiet respectful kids who have lived with young kittens before and understand how they need to be approached and picked up and how they play.  Because she is on the quieter side a very busy active household would be to much for her.

Koda, the little bear, is a honey of a kitty looking to share her love in her forever home.
