George

GEORGE is a 1.5 year old BLUE ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR. He is up to date on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative.

George is a very sweet boy who loves to relax in a cat tree or in a bed. He also likes to explore his foster room. Overall, he is a pretty low key and laid back boy. He does enjoy ear scratches and pets on his back. He has learned to really relax when being pet. George has wonderful litter box habits and uses a scratching post appropriately. He eats both dry and wet food. He loves his wet food best! He does well with other cats and enjoys their company. Additionally, he has done fine with the resident dogs who are quiet and keep to themselves. Dogs that are loud or looking for kitty interaction would not work well for George. He will need to go to a quiet home with no kids as loud noises scare him.

Previously, George had an injury to his left eye before coming into care. He does have some vision in his eye and it does not seem to bother him at this time. The vet has checked him and given the all clear on this eye as well.  George has come a long way since coming into foster care, but will need a patient adopter who will continue to help him come out of his shell, which is why he is listed as special needs. His foster mom can see that he loves to be loved, but it takes some time for him to feel comfortable with humans in his life.

George will need to go to an oriental experienced home or to a home with a lot of cat experience.
