Fifi and Mario
FIFI is a 12-week-old TORTI DOMESTIC LONGHAIR kitten. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has her claws.
MARIO is a 17-week-old ORANGE TABBY DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR kitten. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has his claws.
The pair came from a local shelter, and didn’t know each other before foster care. They are not related, but it was love at first sight in their foster home. Fifi snuggled her scruffy little head up against Mario’s silky orange coat and stared at him with her unblinking owl eyes, and in true easygoing orange cat fashion, he promised to look out for her. They don’t do anything without the other in tow. They play together, fight together, sleep together, eat together, use the litterbox together (!!), and explore together. For this reason, they are being offered for adoption as a bonded pair.
Both cats are sweet and friendly. Mario is more likely to seek affection and purrs like a madman. Fifi is more fickle and prances around looking silly and cute. She does have her affectionate moments where she wants to be petted or held. She gets easily annoyed with brushing but will need to stick with the habit.
They have been fostered with a boisterous young Weimaraner dog, and have become accustomed to life with crazy foster siblings. They don’t play with the dog, but they will stay in the same room without hiding (as long as they aren’t chased). They don’t like if the dog is too wild with its toys or wants to move too quickly. They don’t mind being sniffed or licked by their dog friend when everyone’s feeling mellow.
They aren’t very adventurous! Although over a few weeks they’ve gradually progressed from being confined to the master suite to being allowed anywhere they please, they have yet to explore very far out into the house. They are friends with the resident house cat. Unlike the resident house cat or dog, they have yet to show any destructive tendencies. 🙂
They’ve been handled by a lot of kids and would be good family pets.
