Aspen

Aspen is a Flame Point Ragdoll who has sky blue eyes and snow white fur with light flame accents.  Aspen is 4 ½ years of age, weighs 12.6 lbs, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, is neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, and is microchipped.

Aspen is a wonderful cat who is very affectionate and likes to be with people.  He enjoys being petted, rubbing against your leg, sitting on your lap, and giving head butts.  His fur is luxuriously soft like a rabbit and he is great about being combed, including his tail.  If an owner grooms him daily, they could allow his coat to fully fill out.  Aspen was reluctantly surrendered by his owners whose lives are causing them to travel more often and less able to meet his needs.

Aspen is typical of a Ragdoll in that he tends to be a floor dweller versus a high-point seeker.  He flops onto the floor and lets you stroke his belly.  He uses vertical scratching posts wrapped in sisal to extend his claws and stretch his muscles.  Unlike text-book (or internet) definitions of Ragdolls, he is not always quiet.  He can be quite vocal and especially about riding in a car for any reason.  It is the riding, not the fear of the vet where he did very well and they all loved him.

Aspen’s new home should not have cats nor dogs, but he would likely do fine with children over age 12.   He would enjoy having attentive adults who will groom him, feed him wet and dry food, and who will simply be present.
