Sir Edward
SIR EDWARD is an adorable BLACK AND BROWN TABBY BRITISH SHORTHAIR with golden eyes. He is 6 years old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, and FIV/FeLV negative. He weighs 11 lbs.
Sir Edward, aka Eddie, was found as a stray. His time was running out at the shelter, and as soon as our rescue saw his picture, we knew we had to make space for him and so he was whisked off into foster care. How anyone can just abandon such a sweet, innocent boy is beyond his foster mom's understanding.
Eddie's foster mom has had the pleasure to foster British Shorthair cats before. They are so sweet and precious; no wonder people make such a big fuss about this breed. With his round face, big eyes, and plush coat, Eddie is the definition of "cool, calm, and collected." Usually when Eddie hears his foster mom, he ambles over for a greeting, and doesn't mind a gentle body and face rub. He allows his foster mom to pick him up so she can bestow a couple of smooches on his oh so adorable face.
Eddie is not the definition of a play monster. He is a quiet, non intrusive little gentleman who is perfectly okay hanging out himself. He may have been a breeder cat, so we suspect that he just wasn't interacted with or played with a whole lot. He has been rooming with other kitties without any issues on his part.
Although his foster parents don't have any dogs, we feel that he would probably be okay with a cat friendly dog who would ignore him. Older children should be fine for him.
Eddie is looking for a home where someone enjoys their feline companion soft, plush, adorable, but not particularly demanding; someone who doesn't need their kitty to sit on a lap or being petted excessively, but rather appreciates the quiet, calm presence a cat brings into our home and heart.
He eats both wet and dry food and is using his litter box appropriately.
ADOPTION FEE $350. FOSTERED IN MEQUON, WI.
