WHISKEY is a blue-eyed, approx 2 year old, LYNX POINT EXOTIC SHORTHAIR that weighs about 8 lbs and has his claws. He has been neutered, is fully vetted, and FELV/FIV negative.

Whiskey loves to have his chin, cheeks, and nose rubbed. He also loves to have the moisture wiped away from eyes and appreciates having his face wiped after he eats. He is quick to leap onto the sofa to lie next to you to be petted and he reaches up to tap your face when you pick him up. Whiskey makes the most endearing noises that are between meows and trills.

Whiskey is super playful in every way! He loves to play soccer with crinkle balls and carries them around in his mouth as well. He sprints all around the basement and climbs the tower to walk along the ledge to travel between window sills. He frequently stops beside the closest human to get some loving before sprinting to the next thing that catches his attention. He will need an adopter who will continue to work with him on appropriate play because he can get wound up and decide to wrap his legs around your arm or hand with his claws. Simple corrections or removing yourself from his access are effective.

Being combed is enjoyed around his face, neck, and chest. It is well tolerated down his back and tail. It requires very short durations on his flanks and belly. He was groomed under sedation at the vet’s office and an adopter will need to proactively maintain his coat or have him professionally groomed throughout the year.

Whiskey would likely do well with older children who do not encourage undesirable behaviors during playtime. He would likely be considered too much of a roughhousing kitten for a young child to understand. It isn’t known if he has ever met a dog, but his personality suggests he would do well with a respectful dog.
