Twink

TWINK is a tiny, but highly confident, 1 ½ year old TORBIE DOMESTIC LONGHAIR who weighs just 5 lbs.  She is current on vaccinations, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative and has her claws.

The story of Twinks kitten-hood may hold the answers to our questions about whether she was malnourished and had to hunt to survive before she was admitted to SPCR’s care.  For sure, she is a masterful huntress who chases Da Bird, toy mice, and jingle balls with zeal.  Twink has a high play-drive and will need an active home that could include playful (non-aggressive) dogs and perhaps a similar confident cat.  Adults and possibly older children who would also engage her in appropriate cat play would be desirable to help burn off her energy.   When it seems that Twink will never tire, she will then flop over on the floor or into your lap for some relaxation and face rubs.

Twink is a quick-learner and is highly motivated to earn treats.  She goes to the end of a telescoping wand during target-training as she knows that she’ll be rewarded with a treat at each target.   It is unclear whether Twink is truly fearless or whether she chooses to confront her fears head-on because she moves towards any unfamiliar noise with curiosity.  She is unfazed by a treadmill and fan, yet concerned about the vacuum sweeper and decided to avoid it entirely.

Twink has developed confidence that she’ll receive plenty of care and feeding from her humans.  She likes men at least as well as women caretakers.  She enjoys being brushed, tolerates having her nails trimmed, and looks up at you with beautiful yellow eyes while meowing with a lilt of question marks in her tone.  She is a little lady who uses only cardboard and sisal scratching posts and has perfect litterbox skills.   Adopters must have experience with cats to ensure a happy household for all inhabitants.
