Teddy

TEDDY is an adorable bi-color BLACK AND WHITE VAN PERSIAN. He’s estimated to be five years old, is neutered and has his claws. What a sweet boy this handsome lad is.

We don’t know much about Teddy’s past except that 2023 was kind of a rough year. But hey, it’s a New Year, and he’s now in rescue and living the life. This boy is the cutest bunny ever – he’s got a gorgeous black and white van coat (van means color predominately on head and tail), mesmerizing copper eyes, and the sweetest brick-red leather nose we’ve ever seen. We especially love the black “O” below his mouth, making him look perpetually surprised.

This boy couldn’t be cuter if he tried.

Understandably, after a rough kitty childhood, Teddy is a bit on the shy side. When he first arrived in rescue, he would hide when his foster family came into the room. Now – a mere 10 week later – he greets us at the door and can’t wait to get pets and treats. Still, his new family will need to be patient and let Teddy blossom in his own time – but he will come around. Look out, though. He will steal your heart when you’re not looking.

This bunny is very food motivated. Teddy loves his wet food and treats and is asking for a home where he can continue getting those things. He was quite matted when he arrived, and Teddy’s foster family took him to their family cat groomer for a lion cut. He will need regular combing as he grows out or continue with professional grooming. Teddy’s foster mom is a stickler for placing kits with families who commit to keeping cats mat-free. In addition, this boy needs DAILY eye care. His eyes require cleaning five or six times a week; otherwise, they get red, crusty and swollen. No one (including Teddy) needs that.

This sweet boy gets along with other fur-buds and is super laid-back. He’s currently rooming with a diva Persian and gives her all the space she needs. We think that Teddy would be a great fit in almost any home. Although he is shy and prefers a quiet life, he will easily adapt to his surroundings. Older kids who will play with Teddy would warm his heart.

Whoever adopts this boy is in for a cat adventure extraordinaire. What an awesome kitty. Better apply today; he’s ready to go and won’t be available long.
