SIDRA also lovingly known at her vet clinic as Betty Boop,  is a beautiful 2 year old solid BLACK PERSIAN who is looking for a great home. Sidra is 8.5 lbs currently and was only 4 lbs when she came in to rescue in January.  Sidra is fully vetted. She is spayed, feluk/fiv negative, has her rabies and distemper vaccines, microchipped and dewormed.

Sidra has come a long way in foster care. Sidra is an FIP survivor!  Sidra was treated orally for 3 months and then followed recommended protocol of waiting 3 months for a final blood test to be sure that she is cured.

Sidra is a very loving Persian.  She enjoys human interaction, and starts out sleeping with her foster parents every night.  If she gets warm she will move to a bed on the floor by their bed,  but stays near you all night.  She spends most of her time near her family, but does not sit directly on your lap.

Sidra is also excellent with other cats, she gets along well and will interact but does not play rough or chase.  She loves to play wand toy and enjoys laser light.  Another favorite activity is watching the birds and squirrels outside.

Sidra has some typical Persian issues.  She has a very flat face that needs to be cleaned once a day and her coat needs to be brushed daily.  She can breathe loud at times.  Sidra is looking for a home that is willing to keep her in a lion cut. She prefers her coat short over all, otherwise she spends all her time focused on grooming.

Sidra is also currently on low dose pred every other day.  Her vet believes that she should go on a food trial in her new home to see if she does better on a different food.  She is currently eating Royal Canine dry sensitive free fed and Weruva canned twice a day.   Her foster mom has no way to do a food trial for her so that she can hopefully get off pred.  So her new family has to be willing and experienced to do this.
