Sammy and Wyatt

SAMMY (SAMSON) is a BLUE POINT MITTED RAGDOLL with lovely blue eyes. He is 13 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. He is a big boy and weighs 14 lbs.

WYATT is a SEAL POINT MITTED RAGDOLL with bright aqua colored eyes. He is 6 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. He weighs a solid 14 lbs.

These two fabulous boys came to us from their original owner who had to surrender them due to health issues. The son would have loved to keep them but a work schedule with a lot of travel involved made it impossible to give these boys the time, care and love they need and deserve. We could tell that giving them up was heartbreaking. They have lived together since Wyatt was brought in as a kitten, and because their original owner requested that they remain together we want to honor this request. When you witness how loving, compatible and companionable they are with each other, you’ll understand.

Sammy apparently was accustomed to sleeping with his previous owner. While their foster mom wouldn’t be opposed to having him as a furry bed companion/foot warmer, she has to respect the wishes of her own kitty boys who tolerate these two fluffy puffballs in their environment during the day, but don’t care to share the bed at night. Foster mom would like to request on Sammy’s behalf a home where he once again is allowed to snuggle in and warm the bed with his new family if he so chooses.

Wyatt is the complete charmer and a bit of a goofball. He wants to be where the action, the humans, the other kitties, and the food supply is. And if there were cat friendly dogs around, he surely wouldn’t mind them either. Both boys, Wyatt more so, enjoy some interactive play time by catching flying birds on wands and showing off their jumping skills, so we want to encourage their new family to provide at least a couple of these important play session a day. They both like to wrestle with some catnip toys, occasionally with each other, and in their new home they would love to have a tall cat tree to hang out on.

Wyatt intuitively knows how therapeutic it is for humans to be allowed to provide chin and tummy rubs on a soft and fluffy kitty body, so he happily flops over and invites his foster mom to enjoy some cat cuddle therapy. These two big boys are a true joy to have around. The way they glide through the home, Sammy’s occasional soft trills, chirps and meows, their lovely coloring, their soft, silky and full coats, their expressive and sweet faces, they are simply irresistible and make fostering them an absolute pleasure. A word of caution, however, with Wyatt being very inquisitive, a bit mischievous, and able to jump on counters, bags of their freeze-dried raw food must be locked away unless you want to find a torn bag and most of the food either strewn about or him munching on it all innocently. After all, you don’t get to be a solid 14 pound cat if you don’t care for food 😉

Sammy and Wyatt should do well with older, cat savvy children, other gentle kitties, and cat friendly dogs. They have been perfect with using their litter boxes. These well-nourished boys enjoy their wet food (which is very important for proper hydration) and some freeze-dried raw food. They both had vet exams including a senior blood panel for Sammy and are declared healthy kitties.

Their perfect family is one that doesn’t mind some occasional shenanigans, is okay with having a counter surfer (Wyatt only, Sammy doesn’t attempt hoping up), enjoys having some big fluffy boys floating around, and has time, love, and attention to give a pair of very special kitties.
