Sagwa

SAGWA is a 8-year-old spayed-female RAGDOLL with all her claws. Sagwa is a gentle, loving cat with beautiful blue eyes.  She has been fully vetted, just had a dental exam and is ready to go to her forever home.

Sagwa came to us from a shelter with little background information.  She warmed up quickly to her foster home’s people, dog and cats. She is listed special needs due to a serious ear infection caused by ignored treatment for years.  We had a dermatologist ct-scan and flush out her ears. The foster home has followed up with recommended treatments.  Going forward she will need to have prescription medication applied to her ears 3 times a week plus a weekly cleaning. The medication costs $75 and should last about 20 weeks. Annual vet visits to check on her ears is recommended.  Luckily, Sagwa is very easy to give medication to.

Sagwa is a sweetheart.  She follows her foster mom around everywhere.  She likes to lay at your feet but will ask for lap time occasionally.  She literally purrs just being near people. She doesn’t like to be held, but will tolerate it. She is kind of irresistible to not to want to pick up and kiss.  She goes crazy for wand toys and if you try to put them away, she will drag them out again.  She is a champ with her litterbox. She loves the foster home’s gentle labrador.  She likes to groom and snuggle with the other cats in the household (if they are up for that), but she doesn’t like rough play and will hiss and stand up for herself. She would do well in a home with gentle and respectful dogs, cats and children.
