Project Description

River is a 12 week old BROWN TABBY DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and he has his claws.
Where do we even start with this boy? This boy and his sisters arrived to foster at just 2.5 weeks old without a mother. They found themselves in a shelter that couldn’t care for them around the clock like they needed, so that’s where SPCR stepped in.
This little kitten is one of the friendliest you will meet. He loves everyone and everything… which makes sense considering his “mom” majority of his life was a human! The second you walk into the room, River comes running over with his motor already going, he is full of purrs. When his foster mom picks him up, he goes limp like a ragdoll, he does this as he is fully relaxed and ready for cuddles! If you are looking for a lap kitten, River is your boy. You are sure to always find him close by. This boy absolutely loves people, so a home that will return that love to him is a must.
River uses his litter boxes with no issues, and is also good about using scratching posts and towers. This boy does very much enjoy the companionship of other cats. He loves to run around and wrestle with his sisters, and when they are done playing, they can be found in a cuddle puddle together. Due to this, River must be adopted with another kitten from his foster home, or to a home that already has an existing young cat.
River loves to climb and explore. He loves cat towers and ledges by the window so he can look out at the birds and chipmunks. He absolutely loves wand toys and will do backflips to try to catch the toys. This sweet boy would do fine in a home with a gentle dog that is respectful. River would also do well with gentle children.
River and his sisters never quite caught on to dry food and currently eat a wet food only diet (but will also eat freeze dried raw if offered). His foster mom doesn’t mind as wet food is actually better for cats which these little kittens seem to realize and enjoy!
His foster mom says this boy is one of the sweetest kittens she has ever fostered and that whoever adopts him will be truly blessed to have such an amazing cat in their life. We hope that the most amazing home adopts the most amazing little kitten! ADOPTION FEE $125.  FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.
