Pringle

PRINGLE is a FLAME POINT SIAMESE with blue eyes. He is around 4 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. This big boy weighs a little over 14 lbs.

Pringle showed up at a rescuer’s home one day. This kind lady decided to trap him and found that he didn’t have a microchip nor was he neutered. She got him stabilized and neutered and would have kept him in a heartbeat because he is such a docile and chill cat, but as a rescuer with her own pets she decided to contact SPCR to help find this sweet boy a loving forever home.

As soon as Pringle’s foster mom took a look at this boy, her heart melted too. There is something that pulls on one’s heartstrings when you look at this big, sweet, mellow boy with his smooshy face, and one ear that was damaged by who knows what (perhaps a frost bite or perhaps a fight with another animal?) For the first few days in foster care Pringle would just bury his head as if trying to stay invisible. Now, when the foster mom comes to see him, he looks at her, gives her slow blinkies, and doesn’t mind at all that she rubs his adorable face.

Pringle’s new guardian(s) will need to understand that this boy will take time to come out of his shell. It might take several weeks before he becomes more trusting and engaging. If there is an expectation of instant connection with your cat, then Pringle is probably not the one for you. He is not a play monster, but rather a kitty who minds his own business and whose favorite activity is lounging, oh, and eating yummy wet food twice a day.

If you are one of those people who adores having a chill, low key and low activity feline companion around, Pringle will fit that bill easily. This boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He doesn’t seem to be concerned about other cats and would probably do well with a cat-friendly dog as long as he has a safe space he can retreat to. He should do well with older cat-savvy children.

He uses his litter box perfectly.
