Pie
PIE is a 7-year-old, neutered, male PERSIAN with a pure white coat and blue eyes. He is fully vetted and ready to be part of a new family. He is a special needs cat.
Pie was surrendered by his owners who loved him, but were unable to care for him anymore. He arrived with a urinary blockage and had to have surgery to relieve the blockage. He is on a strict prescription urinary food diet. He has a predisposition to produce crystals, so needs to be on this diet. If blockage occurs again, the vet recommends the new family have the perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery to avoid further blockages. Pie also has periodic feline herpes flare ups in his face and nose when stressed. This can be treated with antibiotics.
Despite Pie’s health journey, he is a wonderful boy. He is a lover of people. He makes biscuits in your neck or side, loves sitting in laps, and playing with crinkle balls. He does get a messy face after eating, so needs a face clean up daily. He is a Persian that tends to get goopy eyes and one snotty nostril, but he does enjoy getting his face combed and cleaned up. He came in sporting a lion cut. His breed needs either regular grooming or a lion cut a couple times a year. We just had his teeth cleaned and the vet was impressed how well they cleaned up.
Pie needs a calm, stress free home to keep him healthy. He would do best in a home where his family is home often and with no other cats, dogs or children. He is a very sweet kitty that just wants to snuggle with his family.
