Percy

PERCY is a SEAL POINT SIAMESE with blue eyes that look out into the world a bit cross eyed. He is 1 1/2  years old, neutered, has all his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and microchipped. He weighs almost 13 lbs.

Truth be told, Percy’s foster mom is only inches away from keeping this big, gentle, adorable, softy boy for herself. However, since foster failure isn’t an option, she is hoping that a loving family comes around that can assure her that they will take excellent care of him for the rest of his life. He means that much to her.

Percy is sweet, sensitive, definitely not domineering, and just in general a very good kitty. He is a bit playful and offers his belly for rubs. However, caution is advised because he might think the hand that rubs his belly is a toy that needs to be put in his mouth. He doesn’t bite hard, but might try to give a gentle nip. Redirecting him with a gentle “No” stops the nip immediately and you are rewarded with a “I am so sorry, I didn’t mean it” look.

Percy is definitely a kitty that needs people around him, and his foster mom feels that he would do best with another non domineering fur companion (either male or female). He seeks out the companionship of his foster mom’s kitties without being intrusive or pushy. If he receives a hiss or growl, he simply walks away. If he would be left alone for 8 or more hours per day, he would become very lonely and sad.

His foster mom feels that this gentle boy would be fine with children, as long as they are supervised and understand that kitties aren’t plush toys that want to be carried around. Older children who would engage in some play time with him would be great for him. His foster home doesn’t have dogs, but assume he would be okay with a cat friendly, laid back dog.

Percy is great with using his litter box. He eats both wet and dry food, however, he should be eating predominantly wet food so as not to become overweight and to assure proper hydration. Because he is so people oriented, we feel his best home will be with someone who is home quite a bit or has some other pets to keep him company. This sweet boy is in need of love, affection and attention, which is really the birthright of every single kitty.
