MUSHROOM is a beautiful 3-month-old BLACK DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR female kitten. While her siblings were busy wrestling and making noise, Mushroom was the smallest of the litter, learning to navigate the world at her own pace. Born safely in foster care, she is a delicate, sweet girl who is looking for a family to help her light truly shine.

The Magic of Head Scratches

While Mushroom might be a little more reserved at first compared to her rambunctious siblings, she has a secret “off” switch for her shyness: head scratches!

A Sweet Connection: She is a “quality over quantity” kind of girl. While she might not bowl you over the second you walk in the room, the moment you reach out for a gentle chin rub or a forehead scratch, she melts.
Affection on Her Terms: She appreciates her personal space, and you will often catch her napping on her own. But once you start scratching behind her ears, she leans in and shows her true, loving colors.
Finding Her Voice: Mushroom is finding her way out of the shadows of her siblings and is becoming more confident every day. She is a “thinker” who loves to observe before she joins in the fun. Watching her gain confidence and realize she is safe and loved is a truly rewarding experience.

The Ideal Home

Mushroom is looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life are worth a little wait.

Other Cats: She would do very well with another gentle cat who can show her the ropes, or even one of her siblings!
Dogs: Because she is a bit more reserved, she would do best with a very calm, respectful dog and a slow introduction.
Children: She would thrive in a home with older, respectful children who understand how to give a kitten space while she builds her bravery.

Vetting Note: Mushroom is up-to-date on her vaccinations, is spayed, microchipped and has all her claws.
