Mr. Bill

MR. BILL is an adorable BROWN TABBY DOMESTIC LONGHAIR with green eyes. He is 2 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV negative, but FIV positive, and microchipped. This little chap weighs a bit over 8 lbs.

Mr. Bill came to us from a shelter where he was surrendered twice. Once due to some family issues and the second time because he did not get along with the other pets in the house. He spent a few months at the shelter and when he came into foster care, he wasn’t smelling so good and was quite matted, so he received a bath and a cute lion cut. Some of his pictures show him before he was shaved.

Mr. Bill’s foster mom has fostered many adorable kitties, but when it comes to absolute adorableness, he ranks high on that list. Just look at that expressive face with the long ear tufts, coupled with his compact body and what appear to be shorter than normal legs on a cat. His foster mom thinks he looks like a Mini Maine Coon.

As mentioned, Mr. Bill has tested FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. FIV-positive cats can enjoy happy, fulfilling lives with proper veterinary care. Since Mr. Bill is very reactive to other cats and needs to be adopted into a home that doesn’t have other cats (nor plans on adding any), this diagnosis should not be of any concern. FIV can not be transmitted to dogs, so Mr. Bill may be able to coexist with a very calm and cat friendly dog. However, his foster home doesn’t have a dog, so we cannot guarantee how he would react to having a dog buddy.

His foster mom enjoys all of the soft chirps when he interacts with her, as if he is sharing his life’s story with her. In the interest of full disclosure, he can be quite vocal when he needs attention or is in a place where he can’t see you and thus uses his voice to be heard. If you are bothered by that, he may not be the right fur companion.

Mr. Bill may be suffering from the occasional bout of sterile cystitis. It is a condition that some younger kitties are prone to when they are stressed. Therefore, he needs a quiet and calm environment with a supportive and loving adopter. Older children should be fine for him, but as stated, no other cats (including neighborhood cats that might be lurking outside).

Mr. Bill eats some wet food and he really enjoys his freeze-dried raw food moistened with some water or bone broth. This cute little chap is ready for a permanent home to call his own.
