Meeko

MEEKO is a beautiful SEAL POINT SIAMESE.  He is approximately a year old, neutered, received his distemper and rabies vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, microchipped, he currently weighs in at 7.6 pounds and has all his claws.

Meeko is all Siamese, he has the long and lean body type, and easy to care for coat. He is outgoing,  curious, LOVES to play and explore, talkative at times, he is a BIG PURRER  and does enjoy being pet especially at night when he comes to settle in to sleep next to you. He is ok with being picked up and held, but of course at this time in his life would much rather be down playing with a wand toy with you.

As mentioned he is young and curious and still learning about life, so he and his foster parents are looking for a home that will appreciate his enthusiasm and that understands he will get up on things and try to go into open drawers and cupboards and wants to know what’s behind that closed door.   He also is a boy that likes to weave and rub around your legs at time to get your attention.

They are also looking for a home that already has a young or young at heart kitty living in the home that would like a play buddy and/or would teach him a few other kitty cat do’s and don’ts.  If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy for your current cat, he’s not shown that side of his personality just yet.  Meeko has been slowly introduced to his foster homes own cats and does best with those cats that are more active and easygoing. He seems to “like the ladies”, as they tend to be the more active cats in his foster home, but he also respects that they may not be so keen on him all the time.

He currently prefers dry food over wet food  although he will eat wet, and is grazer when it comes to eating.  His litter box use is 100% and he seems to prefer the upright large sisal scratching posts or the posts on cat trees over the flat cardboard type.

The best home for Meeko would be in a home that has prior Siamese experience. Because he is still learning and can still use gentle guidance at times, a home where someone works from home, so is around more, would be beneficial. His foster mom feels he’d be fine with older kids (10 yrs and up) that have grown up with cats and would play with him with wand toys. As noted above, he needs another playful, easy going kitten or cat in the home.  His foster home does not have a dog, so they do not  know how he would truly react to meeting and living with one. But because he is young, and pretty easy going, his foster mom feels given a slow introduction,  he could be ok with a gentle dog that has lived with an active older kitten before.
