Mackerel
MACKEREL (Mr. Mack to his foster mom) is a handsome SEAL POINT SIAMESE with blue eyes. He is 9 years old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. He weighs around 10 lbs.
Mr. Mack came into rescue after his owners couldn’t take care of him any longer. When Mr. Mack first came into foster care, he was quite reserved, shy, and hiding. It is not a big surprise because prior to coming into foster care he was in the same home for all of his life so he needed some time to decompress and adjust to this new environment. He will be reserved and shy at the time of meeting his new family, so please be understanding of this. We expect him to become an affectionate lap cat once he feels comfortable in his new home and with his new people.
His foster mom adores this gentle and stunning boy. When she enters the foster area and calls for him, he saunters over to greet her. Well, actually he is recognizing her as the Food Lady that is providing him with three square meals of yummy wet food a day. As a token of his appreciation, he will even roll over for a moment and stretch out so she can give him a quick belly rub. Then off he goes, doing cat things, like exploring and patrolling the living area, or finding his favorite lounge spot.
Mr. Mack has met his foster parents’ own kitties without any issues and we know that he has lived with a cat friendly dog. He actually seems to enjoy the companionship of another feline or canine (or both) – as long as they are not interfering when it’s time for mangia mangia .
Mr. Mack had a senior wellness check which included an EKG. Our vet declared him a healthy boy.
Mr. Mack would much appreciate a home where he will continue to receive wet food with a limited amount of kibble. He is using his litter box perfectly.
