Lily Purl

LILY PURL is a BLUE POINT HIMALAYAN with blue colored eyes. She is 2 years old, has her claws, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. She is a petite girl at 6 lbs.

The owner of this little fur angel passed away and Lily Purl was transferred to friends who couldn’t keep her and contacted SPCR to take her into foster care. When Lily Purl came into foster care, she was matted so we had her shaved. While not the most elegant of shaves, she is feeling so much better and once her coat grows out, she’ll once again be a pretty little beauty.

We have included both before and after pictures of this tiny girl. Her foster mom finds her to be a sweet, docile, gentle, innocent, low key, and good-natured little girl. She will need a little time to feel secure in a new environment, and she can be a bit vocal at times as if to say “hey, I am here, please don’t ignore me”. When she sees her foster mom, she comes over for pets and her little purr motor starts up. When her foster mom watches TV, Lily Purl is only too happy to climb into her lap and spend a good amount of time cuddling with her foster mom.

Although she is currently rooming with a male Persian foster who pretty much ignores her, she would probably do best as an only feline in the home, but might be okay with another laid back, gentle cat of similar breed and size, and of course with proper and slow introductions. Since her foster home doesn’t have dogs, we don’t know how she would do with a dog but assume a cat friendly, laid-back dog would be fine. Young children would probably be too much for her.

Lily Purl eats both wet and dry food. Her preferred home will be one that has experience with the maintenance and upkeep of this breed; a home that will not let her coat become so severely matted again. She is great with using the litter box.
