Lily Bug
LILY BUG is a SNOWSHOE MANX with blue eyes. She is about 10 years old, spayed, has her claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped. She weighs close to 9 lbs.
Lily Bug came into our rescue when her caretaker, who loves her very much, just didn’t feel it was right to have to keep her separated in a room by herself because one of her cats would consistently bully Lily Bug.
Her foster mom is very enamoured with this adorable little lady. Initially Lily Bug will be a bit on the scared side and will need time to decompress. Once she feels comfortable, she likes to be approached with respect and an understanding that not every kitty wants a hand in their face from a complete stranger. After getting to know her foster mom, Lily Bug now comes over as soon as her foster mom calls her. Then it’s time for headbutts, some gentle petting and rolling around showing off her belly and demonstrating that life is great. Lily Bug also likes to sit right next to her foster mom when her foster mom watches some TV.
Lily Bug seems to be a bit of a play monster to the delight of her foster mom. When DaBird comes out, she is showing off her inner little huntress by running around trying to catch the object. It is so delightful and heartwarming to watch, and an indication that she is becoming more confident and relaxed. Other than that, she is perfectly okay spending time by herself, making her ideal for someone who loves to be home with a cute, soft, and non-intrusive feline companion.
Her previous caretaker stated that Lily Bug loved sleeping with her at night. Her ideal home will be with someone who enjoys having a “feline bed bug”, and who is experienced with cat behaviors and an ability to read their body language. Lily Bug is currently rooming with a couple of very laid back male cats and is doing okay since they are giving her space. So perhaps an older, non-alpha male or female cat might be okay. Children would not work for Lily Bug, and dogs are probably not a good fit either.
Lily Bug recently had a dental. She eats both wet and dry food and uses her litter box perfectly.
