Jojo
JOJO is a BLACK WITH WHITE PERSIAN with big amber eyes. He has an adorable face adorned with long white whiskers and eyebrows. He is 2 years old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. He weighs around 8 lbs.
Jojo found himself tossed out on the street after being dumped by a family when they moved away. Fortunately for adorable Jojo, a kind neighbor noticed him wandering around and contacted our rescue organization. One of SPCR’s amazing foster moms took him in and got him fully vetted, and then this little gem was transferred to his current foster mom who is absolutely delighted to have him.
Jojo is one of those little guys that makes himself right at home. No hiding or slinking away, but right out in the open, greeting people, rolling around happily, exposing his belly for rubs, purring and being oh so darn cute. If someone has a bad day, one look at this little charmer and you can’t help but smile. His fur is so soft and petting him almost makes his foster mom want to purr herself. He makes a cozy lap warmer while watching your favorite shows or reading a good book, which will be great given that we are heading into the cold season. He will vocalize when he wants to be around his people as if to say, hey, look at me how cute I am and please don’t ignore me.
Here is where it gets a bit tricky describing his personality as it relates to other felines. When he was in his first foster home, he was perfectly okay around his foster mom’s kitties. However, in his current foster home, he tends to be domineering with his foster parents’ older kitties. For that reason, his foster mom suggests that he should either be an only cat, or that he may be okay with a younger, confident cat with slow and proper introductions. A calm dog should be okay for him. We haven’t tested him with children, but given how human connected he is, we think that cat savvy children will be fine for him.
Jojo is great with using the litter box. He eats both wet and dry food, with a preference for wet food. Since wet food is healthy and needed for proper hydration and to keep his coat soft, we would like to find him a home that will continue to offer it.
