Jasmine and Izzy
JASMINE is a LILAC MITTED BI-COLOR LYNX MINK RAGDOLL with pretty aqua colored eyes. She is 10 years old, has her claws, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. She weighs 9 lbs.
IZZY is a BLUE MITTED LYNX RAGDOLL with gorgeous blue eyes. She is 10 years old, has her claws, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. She weighs almost 8 lbs.
These two exquisite girls came to us from their original owner who had to surrender them due to moving into a senior facility and her inability to take care of them any longer. They were born to the same parents, but are about 5 months apart. They have lived together for 10 years, and because their original owner requested that they remain together we really would prefer for them to stay together.
Jasmine (or “Jazzy” to her foster mom) is the more outgoing and adventurous of the two. She is not too keen on being picked up and carried around but is otherwise a very friendly, inquisitive, confident and sweet girl who loves soft belly rubs. Her sister Izzy is quieter and more reserved. However, when Izzy sees the brush in her foster mom’s hand, she hops right off the cat tree looking to be brushed, all the while purring.
These feline dolls are a true joy to have around. They are not in your face and interacting with them, especially with Izzy, requires their new family to approach them to give them some love and attention. However, the feminine and graceful way they glide through the home, their soft trills, chirps and meows, their lovely colorings, their soft and silky coats, their expressive and beautiful faces, they are simply irresistible and make fostering them an absolute pleasure.
As with most kitties, they will take a few days (possibly a couple of weeks) to acclimate to their new surroundings. Ragdolls are by nature a sensitive breed and don’t do quite as well with changes, so their foster mom is hoping their new family will either have breed experience or have done adequate research on what to expect when you bring a sensitive kitty or two into your home. Izzy in particular might hide underneath a bed for several days, so a room with a nice tall cat tree instead but no space to hide under would be an ideal setup. Once they have settled in their new home, you’ll thank yourself for your patience and understanding because these soft little angels are so worth it.
Although Jazzy and Izzy have lived with other calm cats and a cat friendly dog before, their foster mom feels that they would thrive in a home where they can either be the only felines or where there may just be one other calm cat. Older, cat savvy children would be fine for them. The girls have been perfect with using their litter boxes. They eat mostly dry and a little wet food. Neither girl is very food motivated and both are on the slender side. They both had very recent vet exams including senior blood panels and are declared healthy kitties.
