Honey Bun

HONEY BUN is a Pretty Little DOMESTIC LONGHAIR, Patch Tabby with White bib, mittens and boots and has beautiful green/gold eyes that she uses to look deep into your soul at times to say I Love You.  She is approximately 3 years old, weighs a little over 6 lbs, and is now spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and has all her claws.

Honey Bun came to SPCR pregnant, from a rescue facility that was already very overcrowded. No place for a little girl to give birth……so she found her way to our rescue. She delivered her kittens about two weeks after she arrived at her foster home and has been a wonderful mom to them and is now ready to find her forever home.

Honey Bun as her name implies, is a sweet little girl.  She greets her foster mom when she comes into her foster room, rubs against her and looks for pets and starts purring. She doesn’t mind being picked up and held and can be carried around for a bit.  She has been a quiet girl activity wise,  preferring to sit in a window or on a cat tree watching the birds and other wildlife or just people passing by. But she does love the Yeowww catnip bananas and definitely loves fresh catnip and she is still young so likes to explore what’s behind that door or in that drawer too. She talks a little, but really just uses her voice to greet you and to say how excited she is to see you and that you have her food for her at meal time. Speaking of food, Honey Bun eats both wet and dry food but loves her wet food and her foster home would want her to continue to get wet food in her forever home.  Her litter box use has been 100% . And she does use the scratching boxes and posts available to her.

Honey Bun’s ideal home would be one with a quiet, stable home environment,  with plenty of windows to watch what’s happening outside and be able to catch some rays of sunshine for napping in.  Because of her size and quiet nature,  an adults only home would be best but she should be fine with respectful, older kids (14+) that have grown up with cats.  Because she has been in protective momma mode over her kitties, she has not wanted to interact with any other cats at all.  And even with her kittens now old enough to take care of themselves she still is not a fan of other cats.  She also would appreciate not sharing a home with a dog either. So, at this time in her life, she prefers to be the only pet in the home.

Honey Bun has been an easy girl to foster and we know she will make a wonderful companion kitty for some lucky person or family.
