Hermes

HERMES is a handsome SILVER LYNX POINT ORIENTAL boy who is about 3-4 years old. He is current on his vaccinations, recently had a full dental with some extractions and has all his claws. He has a previous eye injury (left eye), which the veterinarian believes is scarring from a scratch but has no impact on his vision.

Hermes came to SPCR with Apollo (also posted) from a situation where he may not have had much human interaction. Hermes’ foster family has been working with him for a few months to show him that he can trust humans. What he has learned is that he can trust humans for food (he loves treats!) and playtime, however he is still not keen on being petted. Hermes is a beautiful boy that gets along well with other cats and would likely do well with dogs and proper introductions. He would do fine with children as if he’s uncomfortable, he will just walk away. Hermes still has a ways to go to be comfortable being petted, but his foster family believes that it’s best for him to continue his journey in his forever home. He’s very food motivated and that will help greatly in earning his trust and being comfortable with his new family.

Hermes will need a patient new family that will help him continue to grow and find his place with your family.
