Henry

HENRY (aka Smiley) is a 4-5 month old BROWN TABBY and WHITE DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR kitten.  He is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV negative, has his claws and is microchipped.

Henry was found on the streets of Chicago as a baby kitten with a broken and degloved jaw.  He was taken to the local humane society who then needed a rescue to take him and get him the surgery he required. Luckily for Henry SPCR took him and got him all fixed up! His jaw has healed great, and he has no lasting effects from the trauma he went through as a baby.

Henry’s foster family calls him Smiley for two reasons. One is that he has a cute little grin that makes him look like he is smiling, and two that he has such an amazing and fun personality that he always makes his family smile.  He is a funny, cute, lovable kitten. He just wants everyone to love him…cats and people. He just wants to be friends with everyone.

Smiley plays hard and sleeps hard. He loves to wrestle with his foster friends, play with the laser pointer, wand toys, springs, balls. You name it, he will play with it. He has a lot of energy, but then tires himself out and then he is OUT. He sleeps SO hard…it makes his foster family laugh. He likes sleeping with his foster parents, or snuggling with his friends.

Smiley is rooming with friends Tessa, Spots and Gidget and het gets along great with all of them. He would love to be adopted with one of them, or he would need to be adopted to a family that already has a young cat/kitten that likes to play (and wrestle). He has not been around dogs, but a dog who has been around kittens (with a lot of energy) should be fine.  Smiley does like to nibble on people (playfully), so that might scare young children, but older children who would play with him would be good.

Smiley eats both wet and dry food. He uses the litterbox and scratching posts appropriately.  He would make a great addition to a family looking to add a bit of joy to their lives.
