Gracie

GRACIE is a magnificent SILVER SHADED MAINE COON. She is just over 1 year old, spayed, current on vaccinations, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped and has her claws. Gracie is a big girl and is only a year old, so she still has growing to do! She has an amazingly long tail…her foster mom just loves it!

Gracie was originally purchased from a breeder in Florida, unfortunately someone in her family developed allergies to her and they had to make the hard decision to surrender her to SPCR.

Gracie may start out a little on the shy side as she is nervous in new surroundings. However, once she learns that you will give her attention she becomes quite the love-bug! She absolutely loves people…and will sit on her foster mom’s lap when she is working on the computer.  She seems to like people more than she likes other animals, so a home with no other pets will be given preference.  She “might” be okay with one other confident cat or dog if given very slow introductions, however she seems picky about what animals she will get along with and what animals she won’t.

Even though Gracie is a big girl and looks like she is an adult cat, she likes to play like she is a kitten. She enjoys balls, wand toys, crinkle tunnels and her favorite catnip banana (which she will go to her new home with).  She is easily startled by new noises in the house, but her foster mom feels that she will relax more and more once she is settled in to her forever home and learns that these noises are normal.  For this reason though a home with small children would not be ideal.

Gracie ABSOLUTELY loves to eat Vital Essentials brand Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Entrée food and would love for her new home to be willing to feed her this. Her foster mom purchases it from Chewy.  She also eats Royal Canin Maine Coon dry food. The fastest way to win Gracie over is to give her Churu treats…she loves them so much! Feeding her this makes cutting her nails very easy…as she is really just interested in the Churu and could care less that you are giving her nails a trim.

This girl is so beautiful and sweet, she can’t wait to find her forever home where she will be given lots of attention and love!
