Finley

FINLEY is an adorable BUFF DOMESTIC MEDIUM HAIR with copper eyes. He is 1 year old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, and FIV/FeLV negative. He weighs 8.5 lbs.

Finley came to us from a shelter where he was very much loved by the shelter staff. Apparently this shelter doesn’t get a lot of traffic, because who could ever pass up on such an awesome, sweet, and gorgeous little cat?

His foster mom is totally smitten with this little guy. It’s simply impossible to resist such a human connected love bug. Finley is confident and wants to be close to his humans. He enjoys hanging out on his foster mom’s lap while she is watching her favorite Netflix shows. He can be quite intense expressing his love, probably because he’s been missing out on some personal attention while in the shelter. For people who don’t want to have a kitty occasionally kissing all over their face, he is probably not the right boy. For people who want a strong, sometimes intense and lasting connection with their cat, he’ll be an absolute treasure to behold.

During his time at the shelter, Finley made it very clear that he doesn’t care for dogs, so his future home needs to be free of and remain free of dogs. It is interesting that Finley did well when he was roaming in the community cat room at the shelter, but when he was out with just a couple of kitties, he became quite domineering. Therefore his best home will be where he is allowed to be the feline King of the Castle. Foster mom believes that kitty’s wishes should be honored and respected, and she also feels that with so much cuteness, fluffiness, and human connectedness, no competition is required.

Finley is showing himself to be a bit of a door dasher, so young children who could potentially leave doors open would not be a good match for this little stealth cat.

Finley loves his wet food and since wet food is so important for proper hydration and keeping his fur soft and silky, his foster mom would prefer finding him a home where his future guardians understand and agree with this need. He is using his litter box perfectly.
