Elvis

This handsome boy hopes that there is someone out there that  🎶“ Can’t Help Falling in Love With Him  🎶“…. Say Hello to ELVIS.  He is a Tuxedo-(white with black) DOMESTIC MEDIUM HAIR with beautiful green/gold shaded, almond-shaped eyes, that cute pink nose, and his pink and black toe beans. He is thought to be a little over a year old, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, and has all his claws.

Elvis is a young boy that loves to get pets, play and eat,  if he could do all three at the same time he’d be thrilled!  He is a boy that likes to initiate you petting him by coming up and rubbing against your hand and body with his face very intently.  And if you stop petting him before he feels you should he will reach for your hand with his paw.

Because he’s young and active, he may switch gears, from wanting to be pet, to wanting you to play with him and will want you to toss a toy or pick up a wand toy to play with him. His favorite toys are the Yeowww Catnip Bananas and other smaller catnip toys, the Mystery Motion automated toy and various wand toys. Of course when not playing he likes to watch the birds and squirrels and other wildlife outside his foster room window.

He comes to greet his foster mom with little meow’s when she comes into his foster room and she will pick him up and carry him with his front paws on her shoulder and he can start purring. At night he will often sleep on the bed next to her.    He eats both wet and dry food but Loves his wet food.  He did come in with some matted fur around his hip area and on the top of his tail that were trimmed out, so his fur is growing out but still shorter  in those areas. So he will require some brushing to keep his coat looking and feeling soft and silky. He doesn’t mind being brushed but sometimes thinks the brush is a play toy.

His litter box use is 100%.

Once in his foster home, it was clear to his foster mom that Elvis must have belonged to someone or a family where he was an only kitty when he was very young and wasn’t always played with and treated as he should have been……)-: Instead of learning how to be a kitty with other kittens or cats he interacted with people where hands were used as play toys.  His foster mom has been working with him so that he’s now playing/ wrestling with appropriate toys but still needs a little gentle guidance at times.

Because of his past,  Elvis will do best in a Cat Experienced home that fully understands and appreciates that he’s young, active, lovable and smart and are comfortable setting boundaries for him. He has been introduced to a few of his foster homes own cats and does best with those that are very easy going.  He would be too intense for a timid cat and bump heads with dominant ones.  Of course, he can be an only pet in a home but he really would benefit by someone with cat experience being home with him if possible.   He would do best in an adult-only home,  but he could be ok with older kids (16 and up) that have grown up with cats and know how to treat and play with them respectively with cat toys.

This Elvis wants you to know he would certainly love some TLC and if you’re  🎶““Lonely Tonight” 🎶“,  if you were to adopt him you wouldn’t be lonely anymore.
