Davey Crockett

DAVEY CROCKETT is a 14 lb., 4-year-old neutered male FLAME POINT RAGDOLL MIX with all of his claws. Davey is a plump boy, but so soft and fluffy with beautiful blue eyes.  He has been fully vetted and is ready to go to his forever home.

Davey Crockett came to us from a kind person who rescued him off of next door, but Davey had a tendency to bully her resident cat. He has touched noses and rubbed up against the foster home’s confident resident cat with no aggression. it does not appear he ever lived with dogs and is afraid of them.

Davey Crockett, is quiet at first, but he is extremely affectionate with people.  He loves being combed (which is good with that coat).  He would love to be pet all day long if possible.  He is a mellow cat, not very active.  He will need someone committed to his weight loss journey with diet and exercise.  We recommend a high quality wet food with a controlled amount.  Davey would do best with someone that has experience with caring for long haired cats.  Davey would be fine as an only cat, but he is adaptable to other cats if they are confident.  Based on his previous homes, he tends to bully timid or reserved cats.  He may be fine with respectful dogs with a slow introduction.  He does well with older, respectful children.
