Project Description

Dani

Her story is a sad one. Dani is a 2 year old CALICO SNOWSHOE SIAMESE MIX with a beautiful coat of peach, white, cream, and browns. She has her claws, is spayed, is microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has adorable crossed blue eyes. She also has the cutest, quiet, squeecky meow!

She was found on a Chicago construction site when she was a 5 month old kitten. She was feral, and I’m afraid not treated very well by the workers, so this is very much ingrained in her mind. It has taken her a long time, but after 2 years, she is starting to trust her fostermom. She still gets startled by strange noises, but is learning how wonderful petting is, loves to play with wand toys, the laser light, see what her foster mom is up to, and of course, is fascinated by dripping water faucets.

Dani is on the dominant side, but doesn’t like to be alone. She will cry softly if she doesn’t have any cat friends. She takes awhile to accept new cat companions, so there will have to be a slow introduction. Maybe just coincidence, but in the past, her bestfriends have been males. She’s still wary of strangers and strange noises, and will hide. Because of her past, she is much more accepting of women than men. Once Dani gets to know you, she likes to be in your company, to see what you’re doing, and can never get enough petting!
She will need someone who is familiar with the sensitive Siamese breed, and who has time to just be with her, who is patient and kind, and accept what Dani is willing to give. Dani deserves that happily ever after life.

Kids under the age of 14 would be too much for her. Not sure of dogs, since she’s never been around them, but she may not mind one that is quiet and cat friendly. Dani is still petrified of men, and we don’t know if that will ever change. ADOPTION FEE $75. FOSTERED IN CAMPBELLSPORT, WI
