Azrael

AZRAEL is a charming LILAC BRITISH SHORTHAIR with copper eyes. He is 10 years old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, and FIV/FeLV negative. This big boy weighs almost 16 lbs.

Azrael came into rescue when his previous owner’s situation changed and she could no longer take care of him.

Azrael’s foster mom loves fostering British Shorthair cats. They are so sweet and precious; no wonder people make such a big fuss about this breed. With his round face, big eyes, and plush coat, Azrael is the definition of “cool, calm, and collected.” When he hears his foster mom, he ambles over for a greeting, which includes asking for some body and face rubs.

This sweet boy loves sitting on his foster mom’s lap in the evening when she watches her favorite Netflix shows. During the day, he will often hang out on the tall cat tree and observe what is going on around him. He is not the definition of a play monster as far as his foster mom can tell, rather just a very chill cat. He makes one of the funniest purrs/sounds his foster mom has ever heard. It’s a strange, rather loud snuffle sound (think of snoring). At first his foster thought he had an URI but that is not the case, it’s just the way he sounds at times. So if you are bothered or get anxious about your cat making loud noises occasionally, please don’t apply for him.

Azrael has lived with another cat before so we know he is cat friendly, but he would probably do even better as a single cat where he can soak up the undivided love and attention from his human(s). He would probably be okay with a cat friendly dog who would ignore him. Older children should be fine for him.

He only seems to like dry food, drinks out of a water fountain, has had a senior wellness exam and is using his litter box appropriately.
