Athena

ATHENA is a sweet TORTIE HIMALAYAN with blue eyes. She is 5-6 years old, spayed, has her claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped. She weighs 7.8 lbs.

Athena came to us from a breeder that was no longer able to care for her cats. Athena’s foster mom feels that this cute cat probably did not get a whole lot of attention in that environment. When she first came into foster care, she was a bit shy and went into hiding, but thankfully she has come around quite quickly and now greets her foster mom at the door.

She comes up on the bed when her foster mom comes into the foster room and shows her a special ZoomGroom brush. It turns out that this little lady loves being pampered by being brushed. Her purr motor starts up and she even exposes her soft belly. She does not appear to be too interested in playing, but loves to chill out on the cat tree. She also enjoys watching out the window to see what is happening outside.

Athena is currently rooming with one of her “sisters” from the same breeder. She has also met her foster parent’s own kitties without any issues, so we know she would do fine with another fur bud or two.

Her foster parents don’t have dogs, but perhaps a gentle dog who loves kitties might be fine for her. Older, cat savvy children would probably be okay for her.

Athena eats both wet and dry food and she is using her litter box perfectly.
