Ariana

ARIANA is a beautiful 1 year old BLUE ORIENTAL with green-gold eyes.  Her fur is soft, shiny, so sleek, and she has that lanky, slim, trim Oriental physique. She is spayed, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccines, microchiped, fiv/felv negative, dewormed, and has her claws. She is 100% litterbox habits and eats hard and soft food, but prefers the soft. For treats, she likes freeze dried chicken.

This little girl was caged for the first 7 months of her life, and did not have any positive human interaction. She has come out of her shell, but will need someone who is patient with her, and will continue to show her that not all humans are bad, so she is listed as special needs. She’s very afraid of strange people because of her past, so she will hide when company comes over.  She also gets very afraid when grabbed unexpectedly. She isn’t mean about it, but will panic and run away. We can pick her up for short periods though.

On the positive side, she is a VERY nice girl! She loves petting, ear scritches, belly rubs, and has the cutest elevator butt when you itch her above her tail, will lay by your side, and follow you around the house to see what you’re up to, and see if she can help. During the day, she’ll come by you, slide against your leg, put her little tail up, or lay in front of you if you’re sitting, give you some hand kisses and want some petting. She’s a quiet little girl, who loves to hang out on cat trees, chase little toys and play with wand toys.  She does not like cats that get in her face and are confrontational. These make her nervous. She puts on airs at first, and will run from cats, but as long as cats aren’t in her face, she is happy to coexist, and eventually does warm up to them. It takes awhile, but now she has several friends in the fosterhome, and one that she lays with. We don’t have a dog, but as long as they are quiet and give her space, it should be fine.

Absolutely no small kids. She’s in a quiet home now and I’m sure would prefer it over a busy, noisy one.

She really is a sweet little girl! She just needs a home that will be patient with her, and gives her time to get to know you. Experienced Oriental or Siamese homes only.
