Pixie

PIXIE is a precious TORTIE MUNCHKIN/FOLD/PERSIAN MIX with golden eyes and an adorable pixie face. She is 11 months old, spayed, has her claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. This tiny girl weighs around 4.7 lbs.

Pixie came into foster care with a health issue that needed to be addressed and has now been resolved.

This super cute fur baby wears a soft, short coat with lovely tortie colors and cute white socks. While initially shy, she has become very trusting with her foster momma. She lets her foster mom pick her up and hold her for a while. Touching and petting her elicits purrs. She enjoys it when her foster mom swishes a mink wand toy around for her to catch. When she races from one place to another, she actually hops like a bunny, which makes her foster mom smile.

Pixie is considered a Kangaroo Cat, meaning that she has short forelegs compared to her longer hind legs. This means that she looks very adorable and cute when she sits up on her hind legs. It also means that her future guardians want to educate themselves about this body structure and the potential for developing arthritis as she ages. She will need (and she deserves) a loving, experienced home that will be committed to her comfort and care in years to come. Her right eye is diagnosed with posterior synechiae. She could have been born with it, or it could have been caused by an injury. At this point, the vet confirmed that it is not causing her any pain, she is not squinting, and she has no discharge.

Pixie is very fast, so her foster mom does not think that very young children are appropriate for her as she may dash out an open door. Older, cat experienced children who understand that she might be initially timid and respect that would be fine for her. For now she would do best as an only cat that is being doted on by her future family. A gentle dog who loves kitties and maybe has lived with a kitten should be fine for her.

Pixie loves her wet food and has not shown any interest in dry food. She is using her litter box perfectly.
