Harrison
HARRISON is a BLUE POINT SIAMESE with bright blue eyes. He is 4 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. This engaging boy weighs 11 lbs.
Harrison came to us after his owner tragically passed away. His foster mom immediately fell in love with this outgoing and confident boy. Harrison is a curious, social and busy boy. He is a typical Siamese in that he is affectionate, intelligent, playful, and somewhat vocal.
Harrison does like to have occasional conversations with his foster mom and will vocalize when he is around and wants some human interaction. He shows his affectionate side by bestowing smooches and rubs on his foster moms face, typically when she is on the computer to get some work done, or while she is doing Yoga, so getting smooched on your face by a cat is a trade that is not appreciated, he would not be the right cat to apply for. In his exuberance he will also occasionally try to give a love nip, which would not be suitable for very young children.
He is an active and inquisitive boy, jumping up on counters to check out what is going on, or running alongside his foster parents because he wants to go where they are going, so again, if those are traits that are not appreciated, please do not apply for him. Oh, and in the interest of full disclosure, he likes to sample house plants. Since his foster home has plenty (all non poisonous), we feel it is important to point that out.
Harrison enjoys being petted but is too wiggly to get picked up for an extended period of time and he doesn’t care too much for being carried around. He will snuggle next to his foster mom’s leg when she rests, but at this point he doesn’t seem to be a lap cat because he is just too busy exploring all things. However, his preference is to be close by where his humans are. Harrison has lived with three other male cats before in his previous home. He has made himself right at home with his foster parents, and has met their own cats without too many issues, although he does seem to do better with male cats around his own age.
His foster mom thinks that he would also do very well as a single kitty with a guardian who can spend a good amount of time with him. Although his foster parents don’t have dogs, we believe he would be okay with a cat friendly dog. He should be fine with older children, but everyone needs to be mindful to not accidentally leave a door open and cause him to escape since he is definitely fast as well as curious. He would do best with a family who is familiar with and supportive of this type of active breed.
Harrison eats both wet and dry food and he uses his litter box perfectly.
