Thorne

THORNE is a GRAY AND WHITE MITTED RAGAMUFFIN with green eyes. He is 10 years old, neutered, has all of his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. He weighs around 11 lbs.

Handsome Thorne was surrendered to our organization when the owner developed severe allergies. After a couple of days of decompressing and hiding, Thorne has quickly made himself quite comfortable in his foster home. His foster parents are smitten with this big and fluffy love bug. He likes to brush up against them, enjoys giving head butts, and likes getting some body rubs. However, his foster mom has noticed that putting a hand too quickly over his head for a head scratch can elicit a nip from him, and she was told that over brushing may not be tolerated by him.

Thorne likes to jump up in the air to catch DaBird in mid-flight, so a couple of play sessions per day would be a welcome exercise routine for him. He also enjoys bunny kicking the catnip mouse for some extra exercise. When his foster mom takes care of feeding the other foster kitties, he runs right next to her to see what is going on and how he can help. After all, every cat parent needs a fluffy personal assistance to help with chores ☺️

To sum it up, Thorne is an easy going, confident, non-intrusive little gentleman who is just delightful to have around. It is obvious that he likes the companionship of people and other kitties. He also enjoys spending some time by himself on the cat tree or in a kitty cube. He has lived with two other cats and a dog before, and he has met his foster parent’s own kitties without issues. Older, cat savvy children should be fine for him.

Thorne had a senior wellness checkup and was declared a healthy boy by the vet. He is great with using his litter box. He is eating dry food and his foster mom has added some wet food as well to assure proper hydration and to keep his fur soft and silky. We are looking for a special family that will promise to give this gorgeous boy the love, affection and attention he needs and deserves.
