Jolly

JOLLY is a BROWN TABBY WITH WHITE DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR with lovely green eyes. She is 5-6 years old, has her claws, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. This sweet angel girl weighs about 11 lbs.

Jolly found herself dropped off in a shelter with a huge mass on the top of her head. This was definitely something growing on her for probably a year!!! One of SPCR’s amazing foster moms took notice of her and let the shelter know that our organization was interested in helping this poor girl. With the help of some generous donations by people who followed this little kitty’s sad story, and the expertise of a skilled vet, her tumor (thankfully non-cancerous) was removed and this little lady was sent to another foster mom who is absolutely delighted to have her. You can see the stitches (now removed) on her head in a couple of the pictures.

Jolly is one of the sweetest and loving kitties her foster mom has had the pleasure to foster. Kitties don’t really come any sweeter than this little one. Her foster mom thinks of her as a “Velcro Kitty” because as soon as she enters the room, Jolly comes running for rubs and affection, and basically attaches herself to her foster. She wants to be so close to her human, pushing her little head in your hand all the while purring up a storm.

She seems to be starved for affection, and appreciates a warm lap, or a chest to nestle against. Her foster mom is convinced that whoever gets to adopt her, will quickly fall in love with her and will feel very blessed being around such a a loving and precious pet. Jolly loves getting full body massages and even enjoys having her tummy rubbed. That is not to say that she can’t spend some quiet time by herself, but she certainly appreciates the human connection.

However, one thing Jolly is not fond of is other felines. She is quite reactive to other cats, so we want to send her to a home where she can thrive as the one and only cat. While at the vet getting her stitches removed, she got stressed out by a dog, so a home without a dog would be best for her. Since she is so people oriented, older, cat savvy children should be fine for her.

Jolly eats both wet and dry food, and since she loves her wet food, we would like to find her a home that will continue to offer it. She is using her litter box perfectly.
