Apollo

APOLLO is a 3-4 year old male, WHITE ORIENTAL with brilliant blue eyes. He came to SPCR with Hermes (also posted) from a situation where he may not have had much human interaction. Apollo is up-to-date on his vaccinations, is neutered, has had a recent dental with some extractions and has all his claws.

Apollo is shy at first, but as you can hear in the video, once he trusts you, his very loud motor starts right up! He loves scratches and pets all over his body and enjoys rubbing up against his humans. Apollo is comfortable being held by people he trusts and being on laps, but so far with his foster parents, he’s always in motion and doesn’t stay in one place very long. He is a cautious, but curious boy as his instincts, when faced with something new, is to hide. But once he’s comfortable, he will come out and investigate.

Apollo will need a patient household that will let him get comfortable at his own pace. Apollo is very food and toy motivated, which has helped in getting him acclimated to his foster family and will help as he moves to his forever home. He enjoys playing with wand toys and the always-popular spring toys. Apollo gets along well with other cats, and he’s never met a dog, but he would likely do well with respectful dogs (and proper introductions). He is very gentle and would enjoy playing with with older children and very, very respectful young children. Due to his cautious nature, if a situation with another pet or children gets too much, he will simply walk away. Apollo is a sweet, lovable soul, looking for a home that will spoil him on a daily basis!
