Brett
BRETT is a BROWN TABBY WITH WHITE DOMESTIC LONG HAIR with lovely green eyes. He is approximately 4 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. He weighs a little over 9 lbs.
Brett’s story is that of a survivor. He survived a fire in his original home and since the home was damaged beyond repair, he was surrendered to a rescue in Chicago where he spent about a year. We don’t even want to imagine what this boy has been through before. When SPCR heard about this super sweet boy, there was no way we could pass on him so off into foster care he went.
His foster mom is very taken with this adorable, easy-going, and very precious boy. Brett is a gentle soul who immediately comes to greet his foster mom with chirps and rubs every time she checks in on him. He very much appreciates pets and wants to interact with people. He enjoys some interactive play time with wand toys and can also entertain himself by batting mice, balls, and other catnip toys around. When he’s had enough, he will often snuggle with his foster mom when she is reclined on the sofa, and he also makes a wonderful leg warmer while she is watching TV.
Brett came into foster care with his son Rhett. He is very comfortable around other kitties that are gentle and not too domineering. He would probably do well with a mild mannered, cat-friendly dog. Very big or busy dog breeds would be too much for him. Cat-savvy older children who can spend some time with him would be nice as well.
Brett loves his wet food in particular so we would like to find a home that will continue to offer it. He has perfect litter box manners.
